Buckland Estate is a grand heritage estate that was established in 1836 and is rich in beauty, history and amazing photo opportunities It is the most exclusive historic wedding venue in Western Australia.
Buckland Estate is located in the Avon Valley between Toodyay and Northam (only 100 kms from the CBD) where you will find everything you have dreamed of in the one location.
We can accommodate up to 60 people and we also have a BYO camping license for other guests.
Buckland Estate is a stunning BYO wedding venue with many options from rustic to grand and many photographic options to help you create a beautiful and memorable wedding.

Originally the property was a large phone Farming estate and the first buildings were completed in 1836 on completion it was the largest private building in the colony.
The property was settled in 1836 and most of the main buildings were completed around 1872(see history link).We look forward to sharing the beauty and history of this Grand Heritage Property and welcome you for your wedding, a short stay, family celebration, company functions.The property has much to offer from the amazing views of the rolling hills and farmland, to the grand home, numerous old buildings and stone cottages. There are many trees on the property which are abound in birdlife along with our horses and other farm animals. When staying with us, We allow you free access across the property which is ideal for photography, artists, bird watching, history tours, walking tracks, and other activities. We can accommodate you for any event, reunion, wedding, health retreat or a relaxing weekend. Ask about the accommodation options at Buckland Estate and surrounding areas for your group.
Apart from the main homestead there are also many other buildings including two cottages, wedding barn, stables, stone granary (built 1850), 20 glamping tents and swimming pool, and you will have exclusive use of any part of the property.
We are a BYO venue which means you can bring your own drinks, caterers etc which will save you a lot of money and we will give you a very comprehensive list of our suggested suppliers and vendors. In addition, we also have a large selection of furniture that is optional, but also available to save you money.

All of these vendors have great options, friendly service, they are very reliable and love coming to Buckland Estate.
Alternatively, feel free to use any other suppliers that you may wish.
The boys will generally spend time together in one of the cottages and stay there the first night and to get ready.
All of our packages include accommodation for 20 people plus there are another 40 beds in the Glamping Village and BYO camping (note – usually your guests will book and pay for these directly with us).
We have had up to 320 people staying onsite for a wedding.
All of our beds include quality mattresses, linen, electric blankets etc.
The grand Homestead prides itself with five separate bedrooms, two with kKing beds, three with queen beds, plus single beds, sleeping 12 people overall. There is also the option for you to add other children’s mattresses if required.
These rooms are in the main home and share deluxe bathrooms. They are large rooms highlighting the history and grand lifestyle of days gone by.
Dempster Cottage is a freestanding stone cottage built in 1853, which is often the bridal room. It has been entirely renovated and is fully self contained with a queen bed in the main area and a king single/sofa in the dining area. It boasts a small fully-equipped kitchen, ensuite with spa bath plus a large verandah area to relax overlooking the trees, paddocks and lake whilst listening to the abundant birdlife.
Daisy Cottage is a large fully self contained cottage with two separate queen bedrooms and two bathrooms, large living area (with room for additional beds if required), pot belly fireplace, large kitchen/dining area, laundry and large verandah overlooking farm paddocks and rolling hills, plus wheelchair access and ambulant bathroom.
Our luxury tents have been designed and built in Australia to suit Australian conditions and to blend into the Aussie outback whilst providing a unique experience.
There are 20 tents in total, 15 with queen beds and five with twin beds. The tents sleep up to 40 people.

Our tents are extremely well designed with many features including:
